Which Denture is Right for Me?

Before we can recommend a denture, we’ll need to perform an exam to see how severe your tooth loss is, then go from there. We encourage you to read a bit more about your denture options ahead of your initial visit.

Partial Dentures

A partial denture is designed to only replace specific teeth throughout the mouth. The restoration fits inside your mouth like a puzzle piece, wrapping around individual teeth using metal hooks to remain in place.

Full Dentures

When you are missing all your teeth in a single arch (or both), a full denture is your best option. If you only have one or two teeth left in your arch, we may remove them in order to make room for the full denture. This option is designed to rely on the natural shape of your mouth as well as suction to the gums to remain secure.

Implant Dentures

Dentures can also be paired with a series of dental implants, which are placed in-house by Dr. Kboudi. In most cases, anywhere between four and six implants will be needed to hold your denture in place.

Am I a Good Candidate for Dentures?

If you are dealing with significant tooth loss, chances are dentures are a great option to make your smile complete once again. With that said, you should have sufficient oral health before you have them placed. For example, if you have existing issues like tooth decay, gum disease, or oral infections, we’ll get you started on treatment for these dental concerns first to ensure the smoothest tooth replacement possible.

If you’d like, we can also discuss your options for dentures retained with dental implants for a more secure, longer-lasting fit. While this process is more time-consuming and expensive, it’s worth the longevity that dental implants provide!
